Someone shot the Koch brothers, where’s their noble prize? Now they’re in prison for saving countless lives no one saw it coming but now it’s plain to see tie us to your system and we’ll cut each other free I promise you it wasn’t me Someone shot the Koch brothers, no one shed a tear the more you done to wrong us then the more you have to fear no one say it coming but now it’s plain to see treat us like garbage and garbage you will be I promise you it wasn’t me Someone shot the Koch brothers, where’s their noble prize? Now they’re in prison for saving countless lives no one saw it coming but now it’s plain to see tie us to your system and we’ll cut each other free

deer ticks 02:50
I know what a tick feels like and I can count them crawling over you some days find you in tall grass and all you can do is push on through big ones we both see each day the landlord scrapes a little off the top your boss he may not pay quite fair but the real problem starts much further up no one spreads disease, like the deer ticks you don’t see they feed off you and me, don’t you let them eat for free do you know how to pull them off do you feel them crawling up your side? they’re out for longer moving fast we’re running out of places to hide they own the place that you call home write the laws they expect for you to heed pillage everything you love squander everything you need

I grow parsley and coriander rosemary and thyme basil and lavender mint of every kind the best head of garlic is fresh out of the ground but that good ol’ devil’s lettuce is the strongest herb I found there’s oregano and chamomile don’t confuse the leaves fennel and dill look similar indeed but there’s just one herb that every supper calls it’s that good ol’ devil’s lettuce, the sweetest of them all I got peppers like autumn leaves yellow green and red some sweet as cherries some’ll blow your head if you want excitement no better way to go then that good ol’ devil’s lettuce, the spiciest I know oh but one day I had a smoke and went outside to work felt all around me the demons there to lurk I looked through the forest, no garden did I find there was just one single veggie, that veggie was my mind!

thorns 00:56
if I were the devil, if I were the devil if I were the devil well I’d show you my horns say that you could earn them, say that you could earn them say that you could earn them, but give you only thorns listen to the devil, listen to the devil listen to the devil hear just what he says oh you best believe him, oh you best believe him oh you best believe him, what he says he wants he gets

the devil came a knocking, asked me for the woods turn the trees to timber, pay me for the goods didn’t think much of it, I could use the cash who’d a known that forest — would be my last devil came a knocking, asked me for the fields grow it all together, maximize the yield didn’t think much of it, put the soil to use who’d a known that dirt could — be so abused don’t let him in, I ask you don’t let him in when the devil comes I ask you don’t let him devil came a knocking, asked me for my back help him with the harvest, pay me out in cash didn’t think much of it, another job to work who’d a known how much that — little job would hurt devil came a knocking, asked me for my soul use up, the ground water, drain that little hole didn’t think much of it, nothing left to sell who’d a known that I could — make my own hell

I’m gonna burn the jailhouse down, stop me if you can send it smolderin’ to the ground I hope you understand they don’t lock up criminals no they won’t touch their friends so I’m gonna burn the jailhouse down it’s time for this to end I’m gonna burn the precinct down, they aren’t here for me harass and kill my comrades to protect my enemies out here to protect and serve, that is the status quo all us here against it they’a say we gotta go I’ll, find the ammo, if you, line up, the cans I’m, afraid that one of these days we’ll, have, to take, a stand I’m gonna burn the white house down that castle on the hill send those mangy dogs a lookin’ for another kill they drink more than they’re thirsty, they’re hungrier than starved you’ll know ‘em when you see ‘em for the capitalists they are
